An in depth analysis of the crisis we are currently living, with the perspective of reddit’s history and heritage. Most informative
You know things are going to shit when they can’t even make up excuses for their administrative decisions that align with their policies. “You can’t take a subreddit NSFW if it was SFW before, and people aren’t expecting it.” That is nowhere in their policies, and many of the subreddits held votes to determine whether they should change their communities’ focus. I hope all of the new Lemmy instances and their admins, even if they acknowledge the importance of interpreting rules flexibly, realize that there is a finite limit to how far plain meaning can be twisted before you’re outright making shit up.
It feels like the bad teacher has taken over and is making rules up as the class is slowly turning into total chaos.
Nothing is wrong with making new rules, but they have to exist and before you start enforcing them.
Then he shouldn’t get paid like all the mods
Aspirations, right?

“An in depth analysis of the crisis we are currently living”
No offence to OP, but that’s quite little OTT, no?
It’s a forum owned by a corporation who are handling certain management aspects poorly. Its not exactly global warming or COVID when there was no vaccines available…
I mean,t for a layman who doesn’t know reddit’s history, the article really brings more perspective than the countless funny memes that are posted on the subject
