Blizzard has nothing to show.
WoW has been doing really well, but Overwatch 2 has been doing so poorly that most people aren’t paying any attention lol. That and the lawsuits they’ve had, but then they also have a union that Microsoft has stated they won’t be hindering. Activision Blizzard is a weird company to follow right now.
At this point I consider Overwatch a charming independent series of CGi porn pinups and animations, with an incredibly lame, incredibly tame T-Rated FPS spinoff with pay2win features… and sadly, so do most Overwatch fans who played on day 1.
Recently I am giving OW2 another go. They at least made one good step, letting all heroes unlocked from the get-go.
What are they going to show? Overwatch mobile? Everyone has a phone
Blizzcon died when one of the nerdiest companies in the world reacted with shock when diehard RPG fans didn’t want Diablo 4 to be an oversimplified pay-to-win mobile game, a racist one at that as Diablo Immoral removed all the black characters because “China doesn’t like the Witch Dcotor!”
People who still like Blizzard, they’re very much the same kind of people who can’t let go of Disney.
I watched the linked video and thought about the “Whales” and immediately my stomach sank. Thinking about a fully grown adult standing at one of these machines just cranking away for hours on a journey to empty them out and horde what’s inside is only made worse by the fact that there are more people in line to do the same thing.
It’s just gross.
