He overreacted and sent in delta force with no plan for what to do after they got him… The US is likely putting a bunch of options in front of him at all times as they would any president, but he just gets pissed off and picks an option while he’s angry and sundowning rather than considering what’s strategically best for literally anyone else, not to mention feeling desperate as his power diminishes into lame duck territory.
