The swipe feature isn’t quite done yet, they have a dataset they are building that you can contribute to in a fun way if you want.
Soon the swipe feature will be good.

Yes I want a 2x thick phone in my pocket thanks
I’d also suggest giving vesktop a try which is a 3rd party discord client, it has some features for fixing certain oddball things that may crop up as well as just various typical 3rd party client things like plugins.
Discord used to say nope to 3rd party clients but there was a change in their tos a few years ago where they are accepted and nearly encouraged.
I think the rabbit ai device or the humane pin have the right idea or at least the essence of the right idea but they failed spectacularly because ai has not yet matured enough to be reliable and consistent which in this case is a matter of data collection and time before it happens due to ai models fundamentally acting like storage banks of thinky ability.
We do in fact want devices that do the boring things for us with minimal effort so that we may do actually important things whatever that may be, this will always be a rolling window based on technological capability of what technology allows us to do, so far it has allowed us to have global communication automated in various ways but not fully and I think the next phase of that is these models being able to do things involving complex thought that you can’t simply just push a button or two for.
A device that does this fundamentally and reliably will be a game changer for getting all the simple boring tasks done.
This is the way
That’s awesome!
Pro tip from one Linux noob to another, chatgpt allowed me to take the leap from not understanding Linux well enough to make it work on my own to making it work and doing a few advanced things.
Chatgpt has pretty decent usefulness even without buying the subscription nowdays if you don’t want to do that, so glad I did this!
Hmm I don’t think I did, I think I am allowed to have a different perspective.
It is easier for marginalized people to point the flaws out and forget about it but I think it makes more sense to try to meet it with understanding and then moving on.
That is what combining multiple perspectives will do :)
I mean, sure its a problem, but it seems to be largely just about the one occurance of the problem.
Otherwise it seems like the bulk of the post and vaxrys response to that post are about how it was handled and idk if I would have handled it better if I was in that sort of situation.
When I went into the community briefly both on github and discord I was met with immense help to my problems with hyprland (which I now don’t use just because I realized I didn’t need to mess with window management)
If I recall vaxry is young and has some social nuance to learn, this doesn’t excuse behaviors but I can choose to accept a solid attempt at handling a wrongdoing.
Yes, I don’t think im required to express my interest that way haha
I always describe satisfactory as subnautica but about automating machinery like a tycoon game but with more reminiscent of portal. Needless to say its really fun!
idk if im crazy but i tried like, all, of the commonly reccomended linux distros a few years back when it was my first time and really did not like any of them, and then i tried an arch derivative with plasma kde and then fell in love with arch based distros to the point that i absolutely do not want to use anything else. i tried endeavor os recently and have been loving it!
Ah yes thankyou! That solved it, I haven’t messed with the settings at all on Lemmy.zip as far as I know so I think that must’ve been a default setting.
ahhh
i for one have never heard of this guy, i had read this talk but didnt even know the name of the person until just now. i am rather new to super niche internet spaces beyond the bigger niches though so i may not be a good representation.
a lot of your issues are effeciency related which i think can realistically be solved given some time for development cycles to take hold on ai. if they were better all around to whatever standard you think is sufficiently useful, would you then think it would be useful? the other side related thing too is that if it can get that level of competence in coding then it most likely can get just as competant in a variety of other domains too.
great video! helped me understand the peertube structure a lot more when i get sround to setting up peertube things ill make sure to subscribe to your admin chronicles channel
Out of curiosity, do you like swiping the most? Futo’s voice recognition is really good actually, I don’t use it and prefer typing myself, it just seems like normal typing is the only thing I can do the most consistently and I seem to be decently quick at it.
