Ah, true. The depth of my equine racism becomes apparent.

Did anyone tell the donkey it was vaccines for Senegal?
Just trying to understand whether this was a tragic accident or if the donkey is a racist asshole.
Aside from coding assistants, the other use case I’ve come across recently is sentiment analysis of large datasets from free text survey responses. Just started exploring it so not sure how well it works yet, but the ridiculous amount of bias I see introduced in manual reviews is just awful. A machine can potentially be less inclined to try fitting summaries to the VP’s presupposed opinion than some lackie interns or self serving consultancy.
Sincerely, thanks for being willing to provide a thoughtful response.
How dare you besmirch the good name of zip disks! There was a good 18 month period in the nineties where they filled a valid use case in the gap between floppy disks and the widespread instantiation of WAN solutions for moving and storing data.
Is this a loss meme?
“Where did you get that preposterous hypothesis? Did Steve tell you that, perchance? Steve.”
Best ride of the day.
Um, this thread. This thread was a ride. Not whatever the thread, um, was about. Damn.
Just left the same comment. It was surreal for the few moments you were on the bridge.
The other thing I remember vividly is the poor guy who ran up to one of the actors who was in full Klingon costume. The guy belted out some phrase in Klingon you know he had been rehearsing for weeks and stood there, proud and expectant. The actor glared down at him and in forceful English said, “I do not speak that dialect, human.”
I’ve never seen someone’s dreams be shattered so visibly and thoroughly in so short a time.
I had the opportunity many years ago visit the Star Trek TNG experience in Vegas. There was a point where they rush you through the bridge of NCC-1701D. I had that same feeling in that moment.
Which was the point of the experience, of course, and I know if I had stayed for more than a quick walk across the deck the sensation would have fallen apart. But in that moment I was in the place I had seen so many times before. It felt familiar and registered as the same.
Probably its own kind of red flag.
Appreciate your perspective. Makes more logical sense than the “shouldn’t have used ethanol” responses I got. Thanks!
Just finished restoring an old Jeep and had the brand new fuel pump give up within the first tank of regular gas. Everyone I talked to the first thing they asked was, “Did you use ethanol free gas?” Like it was some street smarts thing I should have known.
I would have thought by now any component built in the last decade would be built to withstand modern gasoline mixes. Joke’s on me.

I’m attending an all day workshop tomorrow with a bunch of leaders at my job and I expect this is a better summary of the upcoming proceedings than anything else in existence.
Seriously. Can we stop this ridiculous obsession with “generational” comparisons, please, and the click bait that goes with it? Let’s instead start learning empathy and stop trying to force fit everything into an arbitrary category. Can we really not, collectively, as a species, grasp nuance and the eternally changing state of everything?
Probably not, but here’s to hoping.
Thank you for this delicious recipe! My great aunt used to make this all the time for our ritual house painting and it always brought joy to the children. Try adding cinnamon or thumbtacks to the pie for extra zing! God bless!!
