I actually couldn’t afford to play it really.
The only format I could really play was Pauper and I had some fun with it for a bit at my LGS. Then I just gave up because I wasn’t making any friends at the LGS and I didn’t want to keep spending money on it. I guess proxies exist, but I don’t have anyone to play with 😢.
I actually really wish I could afford it, I play games like Slay the Spire to get the deck building fix without spending a ton of money.


This is interesting, I wonder if these numbers about increasing tax revenue that TIGA is claiming are accurate.
This direct government support is always a little strange to me, like why aren’t they making enough money on their own.
Government support makes sense for things that everyone needs, but support for the video games industry specifically seems a little weird.
Maybe I’m just missing out on some important UK context though. And honestly I love video games so I don’t mind so much, just wondering why UK taxpayers are cool with this.
