There’s not a great 1:1 replacement. I’d suggest some sort of hybrid approach. Personally, I use mumble for voip and matrix for text. I haven’t experienced any significant stability issues with matrix, but self-hosting probably plays in my favor there.
Isn’t prime caffeinated? That’s dehydrating and not at all helpful to people who need water…
Like blockchain there is some niche usefulness to the technology, but also like blockchain it’s being applied to a myriad of things it is not useful for.
Interestingly, Democrats have historically had an advantage in the lower income brackets over Republicans. There’s a tipping point for the ultra wealthy to swing back to Democrat. This article is a bit older, but it’s useful to predate Trump and a bit of the weirdness that has brought with party lines (although my brief search says it still tends to be this way). The wedge issue is much more likely the point of policies like this to get the single issue voters support.
I’m pretty sure it’s tongue in cheek of the average person who doesn’t know much about tech.
