Guess the security response feature was a good choice on Apple’s part
These are not security response updates, though I agree with your statement. These are .1 (minor) upgrades to their various operating systems. They contain more than security patches.
Oh crap, I just skipped right over that detail in the headline 🤦♂️
My iPhone (13) was heating up so much and dropping the battery quickly since the previous quick security response. I tried resetting all settings yesterday and it was still warm while browsing the web.
But after updating to 16.6 today, it fixed it. After using Messenger on a voice call for 1h it feels really cold. And the battery seems to have gotten back to normal.
Weird how this sort of stuff seems to happen randomly to people after updates, cause I’ve seen people complaining of such things on Reddit but it had never happened to me.
iPhone 13pm and iPad Pro updated. No issues.
