a scene from Futurama, Leela and Fry are outside in a crowed

Leela asks: “Why are you cheering, Fry? You’re not rich!”

Fry replies: “True, but someday I might be rich. And then people like me better watch their step.”

Already blocked that account, so I’ll just leave this here:

If you’re comfortable separating liberalism from progressives, then I don’t think you’re actually either or even understand what that may mean.

A lot of people just throw labels around as if “I’m in one group, you’re another group…fight”. It’s not that simple, and there’s never been that way.

The mistake most new generations make is that they think the older ones sold them out, and that the only way, their a new way, is the only way. And so every generation resets the whole game, and has to start all over.

I can only recommend that people forget about labels. Stop subdividing us into classes and having class warfare is because it’s fun online and social media. It’s just a waste of your time and energy, because we’re more the same than different.

Lol, no, you… Whataboutism is about trying to derail the conversation, adding other groups to the point to strengthen it isn’t it.

But hey, I guess we found the lib lmfao

Liberal? Proudly, buddy. I’m not afraid of labels.

Reading your post history - must be hard to get enough oxygen for a lucid reply when every response begins with “lmfao”…

I can’t help myself - someone proudly declaring themselves a lib as if that makes them progressive or something is absolutely laughable 😂😂

It’s almost as bad as someone proudly declaring themselves a republican.

Both parties support uphold and enable the status quo. You’re both literally playing for the same team. Not something I personally would be proud of.

So yeah, I laugh at you and then I block and move on because I know your egos are far too fragile to hear the reality, and I have better things to do with my time than waste it trying to open your eyes… ¯_(ツ)_/¯

There’s a line from “1776” (last, great old fashioned musical) that goes like this:

“Don’t forget that most men with nothing would rather protect the possibility of being rich than face the reality of being poor”

There’s probably a context for this that has been removed, but I still feel that simply replying idiot repeatedly shouldn’t be allowed, specially when it seems to founded on attempting to brigade someone’s history.

“Policing” hate speech (ie asking you pretty mildly not to use it) seems perfectly reasonable, especially since it’s coming from someone who makes it clear they mean harm by doubling down and spewing even more hate.
