good bot
That UI though holy shit
I wish gimp had UI this good. Krita and Inkscape seem to have that down perfectly.
gimp desperately needs some overhaul
It def doesn’t look this good on windows
I am not graphically inclined in the slightest, but about 7 years ago I used Inkscape to make a stylistic depiction of the Pyramids at Giza. Since that moment I’ve always had a fondness for Inkscape :)
I started by doing something similar. Started toying with shapes resembling trees and clouds and mountains just to see what would happen. Fondness is a good way to put it,
Wow I didn’t know inkscape looked so beautiful
I use NewPipe instead of YouTube, highly recommend
link: https://newpipe.net/
On Android change default app from YouTube to NewPipe
I use Freetube on desktop, Libretube on mobile and for links I use a redirect to invidious
Youtube Redirect: https://*youtube.com/watch?*v=* to: https://yewtu.be/watch?$2v=$3 Hint: redirect youtube 1 Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC4aFx2xiTM → https://yewtu.be/watch?v=kC4aFx2xiTM Applies to: Main window (address bar)

The libretube website is probably a scam. Don’t download.
https://github.com/libre-tube/LibreTube refers to https://libre-tube.github.io/
Any other site is probably a scam.
Invidious is nice but it probably leaks your IP address to Google/YouTube, which you don’t want when using a privacy-friendly frontend for it. Especially not if you use your real IP. The Piped frontends, on the other hand, don’t leak your IP to Google/YT.thanks, changed to the f-droid page instead.
Revanced ;-)
I love inkscape. But inkscape never loved me back. I’ve accepted this and continue to use inkscape unconditionally.
I used to to vectorize and color my podcast logo. Big fan.
Nick is a real one, I’d be lost without his tutorials!
It’s really telling of how much great software needs great people to showcase it for it to become more widespread, just like Blender for instanceWhoa, when did the ui change so much?
Has almost always been like that lol
Did you watch the first 30 seconds of the video?
The biggest overall was the 1.0 release, it hasn’t changed all that drastically since.
Yeah looks exactly the same as it has for a long time, I have been using it for years
So you saw the part where he shows how massively it’s changed and literally says that it doesn’t even look like the same program?
Toolbars, colour swatches, all looks pretty familiar to me
OK then, I guess we see differently to you.
Have a great day.
This dude has been making great videos on Inkscape, I remember seeing one of his videos before. Good stuff.
Shape builder looks amazing, my boolean operations always boil down to trial and error.
As an Affinity Designer user for years this looks really wonderful. I’m happy with my Affinity products on my IPad Pro for artistic work so I never look into alternatives, so I had no idea Inkscape was so impressive.
Looking better and better. Unfortunately I need to work directly in CMYK so hopefully they integrate that better soon. I find illustrator to be a bloated mess, but until Inkscape supports this properly I can’t use it to replace it.
Cool!
