I’m looking for an alternative to “sleep as android” as its not FOSS.

What I would like is the customising that “sleep as android” offers:

-alarm that rings at a specific time during weekdays, and another time during weekends -alarm sound that gradually increases volume -alarm chooses from a selection of songs, with shuffle.

Key Sleep as Android feature is a smart alarm which uses sensors (on phone or wearable) to determine when you are in a light sleep phase and will wake up more easily.

I forked the Android alarm app and added “shake to snooze” about 10 years ago. Are these features really still lacking from the default alarm app or the main competitors?

Sleep as Android has a CAPTCHA mode that prevents you from shutting off the alarm without some form of verification, like solving a math problem or scanning an NFC tag or bar code.

I struggle mightily with mornings and have been late to work countless times because I can unconsciously shut off my alarm. But with the CAPTCHA mode I can’t shut the alarm off without physically getting out of bed, carrying my phone into the other room, and scanning an NFC tag. It’s been a life saver.

I haven’t seen such a feature in any other alarm app.

The stock Samsung alarm clock allows for songs/albums/playlists from Spotify to be played. Would need to set two different alarms once for weekdays and one for weekends, but they don’t offer gradually increasing sound.
