Yeah no. If people give someone that wants to plunge your country into civil and international war a nobel peace prize, then this is not at all “theater”, this is honestly not even enough.
The people there are alredy in a civil strife against what they claim is an undemocratic and repressive government. There’s other Nobel Peace Prizes given to people who hve fought to topple a repressive regime, fighting for independence etc. So that in itself is nothing new or different.
There’s also the money.

The person awarded the Peace medal supports Trump and has praised him bombing random Venezuelan boats and calls for further attacks within Venezuela, including requesting assistance from Israel. She has been goading for war for years.
It’s not very shocking that someone who from their POV is fighting against a dictatorial government would want someone to intervene on their behalf. Of course they’re going to try to get the US on their side.
