They would’ve been 11 when the album released.
It makes perfect sense why they’re a fan
Isn’t that the age now of people who listened to limp Bizkit? How is that weird? Reminds me of someone telling me I’m 38 and too old to wear a Nirvana sweater, but Nirvana is like a 30 year old band so…
Yeah just like when my work colleague laughed at me this week when I mentioned I play games. You still play games? He asked. Yes I do, it is what I enjoy to do. What do you in your spare time? Melt away watching ads on free to air TV? laughs in gaming
BTW I’m 38 too
I guess I too missed the memo that says you’re supposed to outgrow everything that brought you joy as a child. I’ll probably be an old geezer and still be playing videogames, watching cartoons and reading comic books.
I got pulled over by a cop for speeding when I was 49 and he gave me shit because he smelled the joint I was smoking. “Aren’t you too old to be smoking pot?” Fuck you pig, although I didn’t phrase it exactly like that. I actually said “you’re right, I’m sorry sir”.
You aren’t allowed to enjoy anything current, only nostalgia is socially acceptable. If you put a lot of money into a vintage atari or some shit you would be like a hero
If anything 34 would be too young to have been a fan when Limp Bizket was popular.
That’s right. It’s just gross. Gotta be like 36
I’m fucking 56 and Nirvana hit it big when I was 23. I’m supposed to not listen to fucking Nirvana? Make fun of me for listening to Black Country, New Road for fuck’s sake.
I think people who would say that might recognize Nirvana as more of a gen z fashion brand than an actual band. Like they know it’s a band but the first assumption is that’s not the driver of anyone’s interest in it.
It’s all about the he said, she said bullshit.
Look, lyrically Limp Bizkit is dumb as living fuck… but they had some bangers and Wes Borland was an amazing guitarist who made a great solo album… which included a great song sort-of mocking Limp Bizkit style songs.
Sucks cause Limp Bizkit kinda tarnished the whole “nu-metal” genre that was pretty fuckin’ diverse in the background. There was all kinds of different metal/rock-infused-with-other-styles being tried. Myself, I was a big industrial fan, like NIN/Stabbing Westward/Gravity Kills kinda stuff. I also love my Fear Factory.
To be fair, I will vouch for Dirty Rotten Bizkit being a great track. It’s the closest Limp Bizkit came to emulating the success of Chocolate Starfish.
Wes Borland is so talented, it’s Rick-diculous.41 yr old fan of LB since I was 15.
Only if it is in MIDI form and played on a windows 98 pc
Embedded as the level music for a custom Duke Nukem 3D map.
You guys are my people. I’m home.
My kind of guy.
Ah man. MIDI on my sound blaster awe32. The good old days.
Did you ever load sound fonts onto that thing? That was the real shit, like having your own Fairlight synthesizer - for a bit less than $75K.
If she is that judgy about his taste in music God knows what other red flags he’s avoiding here
If any woman/man is like that about anything you enjoy you’re better off cutting ties. Clearly not for each other. My wife isn’t into metal at all, and enjoys some gaming but she respects and understands that’s part of who I am and what I enjoy.
Woah, respect and understanding are two huge red flags. Get out while you can!
To me, it looked like she said ‘no’ and he was a shitbag and told her to GTFO
Nah I’m 42
89 plus 11 to make it equal and oh god.
You like a little Limp Bizkit? From the movie The Fanatic directed by Fred Durst.
