Hey y’all!
I’m trying to add more tools to my arsenal to just quiet down and ground myself, and make it easier to start and stay in meditation.
I find that Andean pan flute and such has really helped me in the past, but I can’t find any good albums/playlist or songs anymore. Leo Rojas has some nice tunes, but also some way too active ones.
An example of something that really makes me melt is the beginning of this instrumental:

Just waves, no unnecessary stuff at the side with a different tempo or volume, etc.
But this thread isn’t just about me! Please feel free to share what music helps you to ground, relax and find calm. I’m sure it can be useful for other folx browsing. :)
Thank you!
mynoise is my favourite noise generator site. every sound across hundreds of different generators is organically sourced by the owner, which sounds hyperbolic but it’s not.
I’ve come across it a while ago, even got it on my phone. But I don’t really understand how it works, or what the sliders really do :(
the sliders are just the overall volume for the individual noise tracks. best way to see this in action is going through all the presets on the left. i’ll reinstall the app real quick to remind myself how that works there.
Dig - Mudvayne
Duality - Slipknot
Primal Concrete Sledge - PanteraAnything from the HALO OST
Im opposite, Deep bass and mad rythms helps me.
Thought maaaaybe Duality is a calm instrumental song by Slipknot, but nope 😅 Thanks for sharing!
Try the OST from halo 1, 2, 3 ODST. it will def be up your alley
Try this Maggotbrain by Funkadellic. 100% instrumental and very calming https://youtu.be/xby5467EbdU
YouTube Gregorian chants
White noise generator site
Older (i.e. 2000s and early 2010s) hypnotic techno. I do 30 mins of deep breathing exercises 3 times a day, while listening to it, to try and maintain a sense of calm throughout the day.
Realise my music choice probably isn’t what most people would classify as “chill”. I mainly listen to electronic music so I find it easy to lose myself into the extremely repetitive percussion and melody.
Brian Eno’s ambient work.
Listening to Ambient 1: Music for Airports now. I like how slow and gentle it is :) Thank you!
Check out “Deep Blue Day” by Eno. That’s always one of my go-to tracks.
Very chill! I’m probably too influenced by the still image, but it gives off space/cosmic vibes :)

Don’t know if it always counts as chill but Tron Legacy soundtrack, every time.
If it works for you it counts :)
Dadamnphreaknoizphunk, Massive attack, thievery corporation, and sounds from the ground.
I have a sleep playlist that is just those buddhist meditation bell sounds. I leave that on most of the morning while I wake up and center myself.
Could you please share some albums/songs of that? This is exactly what I’m personally looking for, but looking via my streaming service or youtube I’m overwhelmed by crap that’s probably mostly AI.
Specifically this playlist:

God is an Astronaut
Spiegel im Spiegel - Arvo Pärt
My grounding music is old blues. Like scratchy old records.
Polyphia. Mostly their stuff that doesn’t have lyrics.
