Not linking to archive(.)is because of malicious code there, but the article is available there if you run into a paywall.
What malicious code?
I don’t actually know. That comment comes from the origjnal submission which I cross-posted. I had not heard about any malicious code.
The archive.is owner seemingly added JavaScript code to the website and its mirrors that allocates a portion of user bandwidth to increase the hosting costs of a blog that doxxed him.
Edit: The blog owner shared his perspective. Less of a doxx and more just repeating what other people had already found out. Implementing a DDoS attack against the website is an extreme response that highlights a form of platform abuse that could be directed at other websites in the future, and thus archive.is should only be used with uBlock Origin enabled to counteract it.
Seriously? I don’t mind, let them.
I saw I just hadn’t heard that.
