Out of all the 23 times the US minimum wage was ever raised, 21 times it was by Democrats - and the other two times, it was because democrats fought for months unt republicans conceeded.

There’s one party that fucks the poor as their literal program, and another one that sometimes does things which look bad as headlines, but which require a much deeper look into their reasons.

Don’t equate them because they aren’t equal.

Edit: Yeah, as suspected: The initial ruling in Idaho may be pretty good for protecting homeless people’s rights, but it’s also really broader than it has any reason to be. Even if you sympathize with the homeless and want to help them (and I’m convinced News on actually does), it creates problems for you.

Yeah. You’re absolutely correct in that the two parties aren’t remotely equal. I guess my comment stems from the frustration I feel seeing democrats constantly trying to “take the upper road” while conservatives block anything the democrats do on principle. They’ll take a thousand concessions to get bills passed and even when the democrats are in power, somehow still don’t manage to enact very meaningful change.

So when I see the democrats slip up sometimes it feels like they undo whatever little progress they managed to make with all the conservative bad faith actors.

I fucking hate this article. It is not the limit of the “liberal dream,” it is a rejection of leftist ideals. They don’t want to house people, so people are homeless. Instead people like Mayor Harrell want to make being homeless illegal without addressing anything close to the root cause of homelessness. Fuck that shit and fuck the people that think being homeless is a choice

But they are giving them homes. In cell form! Sure it is the least cost effective way imaginable, but it at least gives money to the right people instead of the poors. That would be commie-social-marx-brothersism
