Israel DOES have the power, and IS suppressing. “What if” Hamas was as powerful as Israel is an absolutely idiotic question to pose that does nothing to help discussion, nothing to educate, IT ADDS NOTHING TO THE CONVERSATION and demonstrates an utter lack of education on the nature/origins of the conflict. And again, the fact that you would make that statement at all showcases your complete and utter lack of understanding of the nature of the conflict. It’s painfully obvious how fucking ignorant you are. Hamas actually started out trying to work things out through diplomatic channels, but Israel went behind their backs, cut them out, and intentionally sabotaged peace talks throughout the history of the conflict. They (Hamas) started adopting the horrific methods employed today after many attempts by many members to resolve things without violence.
I’m not going to explain the entire history of the Palestine-Israel conflict to you, but Palestinians (not all, some are militant) have been striving for and advocating for peace at the hands of their oppressor Israel who murders many times more innocent people, YOU JUST DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT.
