I am posting this purely so that I can say that I called it:
No, it won’t. This game will be very unpopular and they will abandon support for it quickly.
It’s honestly disheartening that this game was killed by greedy assholes. The concept of Brainiac taking over the Justice League, including Superman so the Suicide Squad has to be called-in has so much fun potential, especially with how Rocksteady handled the Arkham series.
I remember seeing that initial Superman reveal trailer and thinking “Oh shit! This is gonna be so cool!”. Unfortunately, we’ve seen that it’ll be a mess of shitty MTX and grind to keep people paying. Unless they straight-up killed it and started fresh, there’s no saving it.
It’s sad that this game will obviously just be an Avengers 2.0.
I’m kind of surprised that they didn’t pull the plug as soon as they saw what happened with Avengers. That game did not make money. So even greedy assholes had a reason to change direction on this one.

Definitely! That’s what makes this live service game so confusing. Rocksteady knows how to make a great game with a great setting, and those have made a bunch of money. But instead, someone saw what happened with Avengers and thought, “second time’s the charm?”
No sale if it isn’t included by default. Lmao
Game did not look good enough to deal with perma online nonsense.
The comic book game doesn’t have a story mode?
Seems like this game is determined to copy the avengers game.
I wonder if it will be like the story mode in fighting games that’s a nonsense bonanza of characters suddenly wanting to fight each other for the most whimsical reasons.
Suicide squad will be a potential buy, eventually.
I can’t say exactly why but after watching the trailer I got the impression this game will end up being atrociously bad. I’d be surprised if the story mode ends up being finished before the game is permanently shelved due to poor sales.
It looks like a good game to watch the 2 hour cutscene compilation.
It looks like a really cool movie premise that got forced through a video game silt screen.
I might pick up this game, eventually
The game just doesn’t look like something I’d be interested in playing. Which is a real shame because I loved all the Arkham games, but I don’t think an offline story mode (that’s not launching with the game) is going to fix the overall problems for me.
