I’m through with vendor lock-in so console gaming isn’t for me, but there are indeed some upsides.
I mean, if console is jailbroken then yes, it has most of the benefits, but if not then most of the world can buy only few games in month at most, and some can’t buy at all, gamepass is a lifesaver in that sense, you can buy it for 50$ per year if you buy from resellers
