Boden was a district councilor of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, a well-known district in Berlin.

this is now international news because she’s member of the Green party (who are held to a higher standard) and was dumb enough to use the Hitler salute to protest being arrestedNobody should ever drink and drive or do the Hitler salute. And any politician of any party who does something like that should resign immediately. Whether politicians of certain other parties would actually resign, is another question though. Mr “I’m the friendly face of national socialism” is still in the Bundestag at least.
I don’t condone what she did. She deserves ostracization, a penalty according to the law, and losing her career in politics.
