The reason why I’m asking this question is because I do love reading yuri hentai doujinshi everyday and I personally do not care about what two consenting adults are doing in the privacy of their own home.
I just do not want to support the lgbt community because I think those people are weirdos. But I don’t think that what they’re doing is morally wrong. Similar to incest. I think a brother and a sister that are both consenting adults being in an incestuous relationship with eachother is not morally wrong as long as they do not have a child together. But I still think that they’re weirdos for doing that.
I guess I should have clarify what I mean by that I don’t think gays and lesbians are weirdos. I just think people in the lgbt community are weirdos because of the pride parades.
Not all gay men and lesbian women are supportive of the lgbt community. There are some gay men and lesbians women that do not support the lgbt community simply because they feel like the pride parade that the lgbt community does is a little too far. And they think calling trans women women or trans men men is stupid and calling people that are not trans Cis is also stupid.
Your heart’s in the right place, but I think you need to learn more about the LGBT community. Stuff that doesn’t come from sources trying to paint it as sinful or a corrruption of society.
Honestly, a lot of anti-LGBT talk is just an evolution of anti-woman talk. They were oppressed and made to feel shame for who they are, and then they decided they weren’t going to take it anymore. There is no shame. Only pride.
Misogynists tried to demonise the entire feminist movement by saying “look at those radical feminists who just hate men. They’re all ugly and weird!” Looking back, a lot of the men who did that were projecting hard, since they were rarely attractive or sensible themselves.
Then a bunch of women who listened to those misogynists a little too much took the lessons to heart, not wanting to hate women but being taught they should. So they say “I can’t support feminism because of those radicals”, or “I’m not like other girls, I’m one of the good ones!” It’s still misogyny. It’s just a self-serving sort.
But all it takes to be feminist is to think women should have equal rights to men. And all it takes to support the LGBT community is to say they shouldn’t be persecuted for being who they are.
I agree that do not know much about the lgbt community. Because the only time I see them is when the have those massive pride parades in downtown Toronto. I do not have any friends that I’m aware of are gay or lesbian. Because I never ask anyone of my friends what their sexual orientation is because it’s just not any of my business to know that.
Do you know why the pride marches started?
No
Well maybe you should find out.
The raids and subsequent protests are an important part of history.
first pride was a riot. In my country it still is. We have to fight for our rights
Then you should maybe educate yourself before spewing ignorant and ultimately pretty hateful rhetoric. While you do so, assuming that you do, try to emphasize, view it from their perspective, as if you were one of them. Imagine it was you who was being persecuted, simply for who you’re attracted to.
