As long as real users exist on the internet, marketing will follow. If centralized social media will be even more of a shithole than already is, then they will slowly target the decentralized. You won’t escape marketing.
Don’t be surprised if your identity gets stolen, your accounts will be hacked, or you will get tons and tons of scam calls and phishing e-mails if you choose to use anything from Meta. They don’t care about your privacy. People also don’t care unless they are already in knee - deep shit. You’ve been warned.
Way too early to celebrate hombre. Don’t do this to yourself.
No porn for a month would be a whole lot more healthier than that shit for sure. Just fight porn addiction instead of abstaining from everything.
I assure you that the average userbase doesn’t care about such things. (Lmao - Privacy? I got nothing to hide -type of people) As long as functionality doesn’t break massively there won’t be an exodus.
‘Temperatures trigger fall colors A warming climate could be bad for fall foliage in years to come. As fall days grow shorter and temperatures drop, the chlorophyll in a leaf breaks down. That causes the leaf to lose its green color.’ There are even YT videos on it, which are mildly interesting and also alarming.
It’s just getting annoying at this point
The moment hardware DRM become a real thing I suspected it too, very bitter about my fears being confirmed as is, but here we are being ‘paranoid’ and being right about it all this time.
Did they fly with their private jets there too, so they can make new important promises that they will DEFINITELY fulfill?
True and real, truly a core childhood memory for me ♥
I may have been a child in 2007-2008 but I did felt the recession when our house had to be sold, and we could barely feed our family just because the Lehman Brothers fucked up.
I can’t say much more other than what you’ve already said, but I have something to add for the last one. Being Eastern European myself, not being brought to work in Germany, but for working for several German companies inside Eastern Europe, such as ThyssenKrupp and Bosch. It’s true they like their workers cheap, obedient, and educated. I can count on one hand how many times they raised the pay from 2019-to 2022, and even then they argued within themselves so it’s just the bare minimum wage provided. I could scream into the void about how much more education I had, or what other skills I possessed, or how I did some of my superior’s work even, no one cared enough to pay more for it, instead I got a slap in the face reminder with an upper leader’s visit, saying how I should just shut up, and be grateful that I could work there, because I could be replaced by a machine anytime soon. If people were sick too much, or they could not endure the constant rotating shifts and 12 hours of standing work, they laid them off instantly, and hired new people. Once the local populace was less and less likely to go there due to working conditions known as the ‘meat grinder’ and the ‘lemon squeezer’ then they started hiring foreigners with a temporary place to stay in, like you said often a shoebox with multiple people living inside, which were mostly just shipped containers, with terrible isolation, no heating, or running water. With all of this being said, this is not just slander against Germans specifically, other countries do this too, other corporations do this too. As long as line go up, people are just a resource to be exploited, numbers on a screen for those juicy quarterly reports, so investors can feel good about themselves, and we can all have that nice extra 00.1% GDP growth that will ultimately do nothing for your average citizen.
Nuclear would have really worked though, but green advocates just HAD to ruin it. (I’m talking about majority) Wind and solar will never truly take off or be mainstream because everyone rather do coal and gas, including the governments. Congrats people we’re fucked!
Aight, hope they’re ready to lay in their grave now. It’s over.
Give or take how much time do you guys think until Meta or any other big corp starts scraping and selling data from the Fediverse?
Pegasus is a cancer that keeps on giving, and now all countries own it in the world. My favorite is whenever any country states they bought it for ‘security reasons’ and they won’t deploy it unless it’s used against criminals. Do what you want with this information.
I’d just say Chromium browsers and Firefox instead of ‘other browsers’. Either way Firefox already put out a security fix so that’s neat.
