As a fatty, I can agree with this sentence.
“You take out on of mine…”
“I take out one of yours.”
My friend, I bought 7600XT, and it performs beautifully. But I would wait to see what AMD is going to release next year.
my PCIe slot was set to gen3 X8. Not gen4 X16.
I agree that it’s purely anecdotal, but that’s what happened to me.
Thx for letting me know.
Adding A side note here. I forgot to mention that I also had issues with VR with my Quest 2. Some games simply would not run in VR mode purely because of the GPU.
Agreed, the problems I had were fairly niche, but I felt people should know the good and the bad. The A770 runs beautifully in 99% of the games I own, it’s just that for me it wasn’t doing the job for the ones that were my favorite at the time… Like i said All problems I had were software based. once they crack that nut, Intel would be unstoppable.
In that arena they would have to go up against AMD’s Halo Strix, which from everything I’ve heard is comparable to a 4060 in performance.
He’s retiring and can help his one son. If I were him, I would have said “fuck it.” too…

Sooo… You can change the setting.
And?
Eh, I’m 53 years old. I just wanted to build a killer system. But life kept me from getting a higher end card till now.
Yeah I don’t get certain sub rules. For example on the VPN subreddit you couldn’t ask about or name ANY VPN companies. Like, what!? Then what the hell are we here for!?
what I really want is the 5090. The only reason I got this new card is because I currently have an Intel A770. Now it’s a good card, alot better than the 6600XT I had, but the major problem is I enjoy playing racing games. And the A770’s triple monitor support is horrible.
With the previous AMD card I had, It was just a one click button operation to get a triple monitor set up. With Intel you need to download another program and manually arrange the monitors to get a triple screen setup to work. And even then it outputs to a lower refresh rate. I have 3 60Hz monitors, but when I set them up in triple screen mode it defaults to 59.94Hz. it used to update to the full 60Hz, but some driver change quashed that and then certain games that I used to be able to play in triple monitor, now default to the center monitor no matter what I do.
So here’s hoping I get better results with the new AMD card.
I dunno, it auto corrected to that.
Thank-you to everyone who responded. I found a Killer deal for a GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT GAMING OC Card at $379.00 CAD ($270.00 USD) I will leave the thread up as I’m sure others will have the same question.
Fuck it I’m 53 with a bad ticker. I’ll watch hell descend while drinking a margarita on the beach.
“there was no Danger to my Chasis”
Soooo… You don’t have ublock installed then?
