4·1 year agoOnly a year ago I was doing tech support for DARPA. Yeah, no. they’re still running Windows 7. A year prior to that I was doing some design work for the Pentagon and a lot of their computers are still Windows XP. You’d be woefully surprised how much is still running on COBAL
Still do. Have bookshelves full of them.
USPS has lost a dozen or so of my checks and packages but I have never had any of the hundreds of packages delivered stolen.
Except for people without cars and the walk to restaurants is dangerous. Except for invalids. Except for people who work at companies with rules about not leaving your post. Except for people quaranteening. Except for…except for…except for…
Rhino’s have low intelligence, can’t swim (well), hace poor eyesight, and are smaller. My money’s on the Hippo.
Traditional size and sheep Sharpies are not pent their markers and yes compared to other markers they are Sharp
5·1 year agoThe city where I live has a higher col then the surrounding rural areas. Our living wage is $15.34 and poverty wage is $6.35 I don’t have a report for the surrounding areas but my gut says somewhere around $10/$5.
In the US you have to get paid 1.5x for hours over 40. $30/2.5/1.5 = $8. And thats assuming no paycheck deductions such as tax, healthcare, alimony, etc
Thats $8/hr even. Pretty standard for retail jobs where I live.

1·1 year agoI have not found a way to bypass Larian Studios launcher in launch options but you can make a shortcut to the exe directly.
I have yet to have any issues with the 50ish games I have played on Proton.
I miss flash games.
1·1 year agoBones and LEGO Star Wars. LEGO Bones doesn’t need to exist, but I’d play it.
I’m under 30 and learned cursive growing up. Only use it for writing letters to my mom though.
The kids of my cousins are all under 20 and about half learned cursive in school.
(I have 31 cousins by blood and collectively they have 36 kids, all in the US)
A beaver dam would be beaver made. A human house is man made.
They are starting to delete the data associated to Google accounts that have not signed in in several years. This includes their YouTube videos. I have started downloading the videos from creators that have passed that I still wish to watch.
Sounds like we need a SolidWorks community
