I imagine even if there is a strong philosophical argument that it’s a “you die and it’s a copy/clone that comes out” in this scenario that people would still use it just from social and economic pressures. It would become normalized to work on the other side of the planet and just teleport there, your friends might be scattered across the globe, and not using the tech would put you at a massive disadvantage to everyone.

It’s a fun one to think about though - our consciousness is interrupted at different levels all the time (Sleep, injury, anesthesia etc), would a teeny tiny interruption from being rebuilt, make you any less you? Perhaps the scary thought is “you” aren’t something continuous, and that teleporting (dying/being rebuilt) isn’t really that different than just normal living.

All that said - I’d probably grow up with the technology and use it while trying my best to never ever think about the details!

Another delicious hit - chocolate sandwiches!

Two slices of white bread, fill sandwich generously with hot chocolate mix. Deliciously dry and chocolatey.

Spicy lettuce hotdogs! Cook them meat sticks up however you want, wrap in lettuce, place in bun. Top with ketchup and habanero Tabasco.

Mud

Cocoa powder, sugar, bit of cream. Mix until it’s gritty from sugar, it shouldn’t be too smooth. Extra delicious if some isn’t fully mixed and there are cocoa powder chunks. It could be a topping, or an ingredient in something delicious, but no - eat the whole bowl of sweet gritty chocolatey goodness straight up.

Well in all fairness, we might both just be kooks! What tools/processes do you use for upscaling? I have a number of highly sentimental videos I should probably do that to (As an aside, isn’t it fun how the quality we found perfectly acceptable a decade or two ago is now horrible to watch? How did I enjoy that pixelated blur!)

Hello my brother in pornography! I’m the same way, it’s the weirdest thing. I love maintaining my collection more than I do “utilizing” it - it’s such a weird thing. As another commenter mentioned check out Stash, it will change your hoarding game (There is quite the active community for it too!), I have a tremendous library all custom tagged (To the point of even having the personal “emotion” of individual videos even tagged!) and I just love growing it and maintaining it.

If you’ve been doing this for some time as I have I’m curious - do you also have a number of videos which are weirdly nostalgic? Like you feel very fondly about them even though they may be low quality/not content you are particularly into today, but you can’t imagine not having them in the library? Some of my most “treasured” videos are ones which I would never seek out today haha
