I do admire his line of reasoning. Just every time. Like I used to do silly things in the sims and theme park, but his natural curiosity is next level. HOLD PLEASE.

Once she realizes people don’t run away if she isn’t barking that should help. Good luck with your training.

Why is she barking? Correct that behaviour and I bet 80% of people would stop treating you and your dog like a threat. If a dog barks at me, I leave. It tells me the owner hasn’t spent the time training them and that the dog doesn’t want me there.

I shouldn’t lol but lol I can’t imagine how that poll would look, no way to come up with a non-bias creating question I’d guess.
But hateful people of all types are always way louder than the rest of us. And yes, lots of propaganda and legitimate fears will push some into the wrong. But I’m betting, just like the general population, the Jewish population is mostly good. All the ones I know and associate with certainly are.

Actually, not even the majority…

The headline is doing exactly that. My first reaction was “of course some asshole is, probably a conservative.” And then I clued into the photo and recognized the buffoon. If I wasn’t a Canadian, or didn’t have the picture, or maybe wasn’t good with faces, I would have scrolled by not realizing the idiot in question iis the leader of the Conservative Party.
A responsible headline would have said that. It might as well have said “A random white guy from Canada is openly spreading propaganda.” I mean it’s a true headline right? Not misleading at all.
And pay attention if you are buying one that you don’t need to connect it! Let the company know you’ll buy a “dumb” fridge to avoid their bullshit.

“We weren’t able to tell if you worked from home or office by performance alone.”

I was listening to… CBC front burner podcast I think? And they mentioned that he has shifted his position on immigrants. He was quoted in the past saying any immigrant who graduated post secondary in the US should have a green card attached to the diploma.
Then some right wing nutjobs were mad about that and we’re targetting his events and harrassing him until he fell in line.
So yeah. He will change his mind, if he is bullies enough.
Also I think the group that were harassing his events was Nick Fuentas (spelling?) and now some of the coverage is indicating the shooter might have been a follower of Nick? I’m not sure how confirmed that is so do your own research.
But if it’s just right wing nutjobs killing slightly less to the right right wing nutjobs… Idk man.

Well now you are armed with that info for next time. I too have trouble standing up to misinformation. It’s a problem where I won’t just spout things I haven’t verified and can source, no matter how true I THINK it is. It’s baffling how others can just howl into the nothing about things they heard somewhere and are positive it’s true.
Last time I was sure of a point during one of those sorts of discussions it was amazing to see the deflation in the room. “What do you mean?”
I mean you guys are idiots, here’s where you can verify that. I didn’t say that because neither of them seem that far gone, they are the helpful idiots. And suddenly the whining about being a victim of a non existent problem quieted down.

Thank you for the short explainer.
Hopefully OP is genuine and will come back and see this and then tell his “friend” he is an idiot.

My dad’s and I both occasional partake in a specific ritual that goes as follows:
Take a few sips while you either pull fresh from the garden or out of the fridge:
Wash them up. You can slice, quarter or leave whole.
Get snacking.
Enjoy your fresh, slightly spicy (or really spicy depending!) radishes with your cold bubbly coke.
Wait.
Burp
Transcend this mortal plane, bask in the glory of the radish and coke burps that follow.

So… Do you just have an extension or something that replaces TH with your b/p (thorn?) I see you didn’t use it when you use the word thorn.

Can you link to or provide an explanation for us curious folk?

I’ll give Linux Mint a go! Thanks

Thank you. I have heard that, and I’m interested in switch my home computer and “Netflix and YouTube on the tv” computer over.
Any recommendations on where to start with that?
I used Linux as a 11 year old back in… Late 90’s? And it was not user friendly but I was so cool it didn’t matter…
Until I couldn’t get a game other than Quake 2 running on my lan network.
Haven’t checked on it since but I’m overdue and ready.

Oh my. THANK YOU for that edgeblocker! Going to get that on every computer in my home.
Yeah I’m not “the boss” of my parents. My dad was very tech savvy, but he doesn’t have the same memory and cognition as he used to so when I set it up nice he likes it, but any friction sets him off to “solve” the problem… By doing some random totally different thing that doesn’t so much solve the problem as “gets it working, sort of” with a browser he recognizes. Then because there are ads he loses interest and just puts on the 24/7 news cycle. :(

So my parents use chrome even though I constantly install Firefox and hide chrome. Problem there is they end up with Edge so I stopped doing that. (Didn’t windows get in trouble for this kind of market control in the 90’s?)
So I had Ublock origin on chrome for them but it’s “not supported” anymore and my usual method of ignoring what it says and turning it back on are now failing.
Any help?

That sounds great. I’m bad at reading (not bad at it. Just don’t do it lol) but I’ll put that in my audiobooks for long trips pile. It sounds very much up my alley.
I’d give it a go.
