Yeah I left my last gig because they tried to mandate it, the only office I could in had 11 people in a boring ass building 53 miles from my house. Also I can’t have conversations with the people in the office because of an FTC agreement to not share data between two merged companies. So I could show up and not speak to a single person and sit on Microsoft Teams all day with people around the country.

Jellyfin is nowhere near the better option, it’s just a not-terrible dev.
Plex is refined and easy to get external users not familiar with tech up and running. Plex looks better. Plex transcodes better.
No hate for Jellyfin, just calling it how I see it.
