Glass is made essentially exclusively with natural gas as the fuel source and there is no easy way to transition to something else to directly use electricity at these scales, conditions and temperatures. Before transitioning such high hanging fruit, we first need to stop burning it to heat homes, which is really easy to replace with electricity.

Glass is only better when it is reused something like 5 times. Otherwise it is worse, as the energy needed to make it is just so high plus all the shipping.

I would be honored to both participate in this myself and see my wife/kid help humanity so much instead of simply existing as a thing that has the shape etc. of a person but non of it’s defining characteristics.

The edge cases, so mixing very polar with very nonpolar gases has deviations in enthalpy. Very tiny, but they exist.

Mixing inert species like nitrogen, CH4 or oxygen (anything human, fart or air related) does not result in a change in enthalpy. All it does is increase entropy. They are essentially ideal gases under these conditions, nothing happens.
