Camera. If I’m buying something that expensive, it better have a great camera.
Durability concerns. If a little speck can ruin the screen, then it’s not ready to be a daily driver for me.
Knitting, crocheting, embroidery, cross stitch, etc. The work is meditative, and you get in a groove waiting to see what the next row or stitches will look like. Producing an object feels productive, and gives a feeling of accomplishment.
Choose bright colors and fun patterns, and it’s a lot of fun. There are patterns for all interests, so don’t think this is the realm of only little old ladies. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Amen. And he got screwed from the Reddit api fiasco. If i remember correctly he was on the hook for as much as $250k in refunds because he’s had to shut the app down and refund subscribers.
The guy has to make a living, so I don’t begrudge him that one bit.
Me too
Agree on Pocket Casts. It works great for me, very clean UI.
What’s the issue with WhatsApp? I thought it was great for privacy.
Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the feedback. I have some thinking to do
Well dang. That’s disappointing. I recently converted to Mac and wanted to take advantage of the integration. I take a ton of pictures though and don’t want a camera that’s sub par. My current is the s22 ultra, so ideally it would be similar quality.
Thanks for your feedback. It gives me something to think about.
I am. I really wish the nicer camera came in the smaller phone, but I’m a sucker for a good camera.
That’s a great photo, and a beautiful cat.
On Reddit, I often felt I was whispering in a crowded room. What’s the point of no one is likely to see it, read it, or engage? I think that’s one reason I’m more willing to engage on Lemmy.
I want a smaller phone, without sacrificing on the camera. I have an S22 ultra and the camera is great, but I can’t use it one-handed.
I’m an Android user but considering moving to iPhone because I also use a mac. Could you elaborate on the features that you’re most excited about?
Why would she (or anyone) buy a game without making sure their device can play it? Sure, it would be great if it were available on the Mac, but as a Mac owner, I would know to check that first. I don’t blame her for wanting it to be available, but I read that she’s asking for a refund because it won’t work. If the average everyday buyer wouldn’t get a refund, then she shouldn’t either.
If I could upvote this a dozen times, I would. Well said.
Let your wife handle it.
That is too cute!
I’m anxious to see what happens in the next few days and weeks. I think Reddit will bring the big subreddits back online with new mods if they have to. The smaller subreddits, though, may not be worth the effort to Reddit, and those are the ones I’ll miss the most. I’m hoping some make their way here, but I suspect many won’t.
I’m glad to be here, and I’m looking forward to see what this brings.
The Shire. I’d just live in my Hobbit hole, eat second breakfasts, and take long walks. Peaceful!
