When a critical mass of people lose the thrill of living, that’s when it gets dangerous for the establishment and people start thinking of revolution.

Companies would rather protect themselves from potential litigation than stand up for their paying customers so yeah most companies probably just preemptively block the site as soon as the abuse report comes in. They’re not really under any obligation to actually check that the abuse report was correct or not, so most companies have decided to cut positions/funding to any sort of complaint review department which is why they can be so slow/unhelpful/incompetent most of the time.
It’s well documented that serial killers tend to preferentially go after the homeless, drifters, addicts, sex workers, etc because they know the law gives no shits about them and will probably not even bother to investigate beyond a superficial glance let alone actually prosecute. Those groups are effectively medieval-style outlaws that anyone can kill if they wanted to. You’ll even get police flat out saying that investigating their deaths would be “more trouble than it’s worth” or “divert resources from more pressing matters.” They’re literally viewed as subhuman in the eyes of the law.
Tangential rant: It’s disgusting how pet supply/vet/insurance companies exploit your love for your pet to gouge you for as much money as possible. Pet food costs more than human food a lot of the time where I live while being made of the cheapest factory floor scraps that they were otherwise going to throw in a dumpster, while they opine about how wholesome their ingredients are and how even you could eat it if you wanted to (which should be the fucking norm for food, humans are also animals and if it’s not safe for us to eat it’s not safe to eat period). Vets have been shown by investigative journalists to routinely order completely unnecessary expensive procedures (that are also extremely stressful for your pet so you’re not doing them any favours) and all but accuse for not loving your pet enough you when you can’t afford it. Pet insurance has insane deductibles/copays and all but the very most expensive tiers do not cover preventative care, checkups, or even vaccines so they’re basically useless for 90% of the vet visits you’ll actually go to and are really only for emergencies/freak accidents (and even then they’ll probably try to deny you coverage like human insurance does). Don’t even get me fucking started on small pets/fish and how inhumane pet stores that sell them are, but just know that they grossly under-report the needs of those pets because they don’t want you to have all the knowledge/resources you need to care for them and would prefer they died in a week so you’d come back and buy another one, you’ll spend less money if the pet is healthy and long lived.
Dr. Mario had at many times expressed to his brother his discontent for the insurance system for screwing over his patients.
Luigi listened.
How much you want to bet that response was AI generated?
Seriously, the way it explains things and the repetition reek of ChatGPT
Yes you would.
Yes you absolutely fucking would.
Shut the fuck up corporate social media.
A marketing post like this is tone deaf as fuck and an insult to our intelligence to even imply you wouldn’t have. I’m so fucking sick of corporations seeing any internet sensation as an opportunity to cash in and make it about them. Fuck you.
It’s a disgusting and utterly tone deaf marketing stunt then
“Get judged by more advanced Linux users until you get good enough to do the judging”
That should only shred the top level files in the root directory though. Since shred doesn’t do it recursively and doesn’t know what to do with subdirectories.
Do any distros store system critical files at the root directory? It’s all subdirectories on mine. I guess if you were storing important data files in the root directory they would get shredded but that’s really bad practice anyway and I doubt it’s super common.
Yeah everyone knows the real way to hack Linux is to do tree /
Lots of weird looking text output means lots of hacking
Pfff imagine just giving out healthcare to anyone who needs it. What are you, a commie?
Viewsonic monitor tho. Nostalgic AF
Oh won’t somebody think of the hyper rich oligarchs exploiting sick and dying people for profit?!?!?!
Buddy, bootlicking the billionaires won’t make them reconsider denying your insurance claim.
The man he killed was a thousand times more criminal than the shooter.
The shooter may be a criminal, but he significantly reduced the total criminality of this world.
Hot take: If a partner rejects you because you didn’t give them an expensive enough engagement gift, they’re not worth marrying.
If they truly love you, they wouldn’t care. If they had the slightest concern for your future together, they would prefer that money go into a savings account or the down payment for a house or literally anything more useful than a ring.
the glorification of this person is not acceptable for me
Why did you click on this post then?
but I can’t grasp the collective hate the last days
How many people died early because their insurance claims were denied and they could not access life saving medical care?
How many people lost relatives who were screwed by this evil company?
How many people were forced to live with debilitating conditions because insurance decided not to cover a procedure that would significantly improve their lives?
How many people were bankrupted after getting emergency care only to find out the claim was denied and they’re on the hook for the ridiculously inflated cost that the hospital charged them? (If you don’t know: Hospitals in the US charge orders of magnitudes more for medical treatment than the treatment actually cost, because insurance companies will only pay a fraction of what they’re quoted, but if you don’t have insurance and/or you’re denied coverage, you’re actually on the hook for the entire amount because you alone have no negotiating power.)
How many were exploited for that CEO’s profit? How many more have to be?
He caused real, material harm to millions of people. His victims shed no tears for him and understandably feel vindicated.
Imagine you give your hard earned money to an insurance company every month of your life, and they promise to have your back should you need medical care, but the one time you need them to do the one thing you’ve been paying them for and they’ve been promising you, they decide to just not do that and tell you to go fuck yourself, you’ll probably harbour some hatred toward their leadership.
A medical insurance company behaving like this is on a whole other level of scummy than most types of corporate price gouging out there. This isn’t just charging too much money for a subpar product, it left millions of people with worse than nothing in times where they were the most vulrnable. If they had no insurance plan and just put the monthly payments in a box as an emergency fund, they would at least have had that money to pay for the medical procedures they needed. Instead this company took that money and gave them a middle finger when they desperately needed it back. Its sole function for millions of people was to be a parasite that stole their savings with the empty promise of helping them should they fall ill. This backstabing vile scum preyed on the human desire for a safety net and refused to give them that safety net when the time came. Then it proceeded to gaslight them, telling them that they didn’t need what they were begging for. It sent sick and dying people on a wild goose chase of appeals to ultimately deny them all the same.
That’s the reason for the collective hate.
