How do new means of production come to be? Like, if a community really wanted a unicycle repair shop, how would that get started? How would it be decided that we use resources for that shop instead of, say, a pogo stick repair shop? Would that be up to a local government (or some other governing body)? Honest question.

I agree with you, but I don’t think I could explicitly state what’s wrong with that mentality. Can you humor me and state it?

Edit: can someone else take a shot at it? Tge parent comment is essentially saying “people will counter with X, but everyone knows that doesn’t make sense”. It’s clear that something is wrong with that mentality, but it obviously would have a very real benefit of stating it’s flaws since the whole premise of this is that some people don’t know what’s wrong with that mentality.

I feel like I’m in the minority, but I’d be happy going back to reddit if

• spez started be honest and transparent about his interactions with third party app devs
• reddit provides incredible moderation APIs immediately
• reddit stops (allegedly) “undeleting” posts

If that all happens, I’d stop being upset with reddit and instead be understanding of their situation… untill spez did something else stupid and then I’d be upset again
