This game good? I’m not a fan of survival or horror games but I am from the PNW, so does seem interesting to play a game version of home

Interesting. Next game I play that has one I’ll report back and show you how it went lmao
Every time I try to create anything with any of these “never before seen levels of customization” character creators I end up feeling like dr Frankenstein with the monsters I create. Basically every game I play it’s just the default model with like heterochromia or something lol. I have no idea how some people create the works of art they do.
I took faulty to mean buggy, but that’s really just semantics. Either would affect your view of the game pretty similarly.
I mean you basically stated it as a matter of fact. You didn’t go into any explanation of your thoughts and just dismissed the game as buggy and boring in a single sentence. On a post about how they potentially plagiarized pokemon that seems to be a little inflammatory.
Why did you so casually dismiss it? Just because you don’t like a game doesn’t mean it’s boring with a lot of faults. The game was at 20k players average on steam last month, putting it above valheim, bdo, rimworld, risk of rain 2. That doesn’t really speak to me as a boring game.
I remember my dad telling me about an article he read about the new Nintendo device that was going to have TWO screens. My 8 year old brain could not even fathom what that would be like… I do remember playing my gba sp and at one point closing the screen and then upon opening it up again later that it had died. I remember wishing that if there was only a way to turn the screen off when it was closed so you could save battery life… Imagine my surprise when I found out about sleep mode on the DS!
Now that I’m grown up and understand the anti consumer practices that Nintendo implements on its products enrages me, but fuck man, growing up I could not get enough of my Gameboy color, advance, sp, DS, Wii, 3ds… It’s so hard to hate them.
Can I ask what client you use? I want to implement the same auto-remove on qbittorent but idk if I’m just not seeing that setting or what.
The 6P was the pinnacle of android for me. Beautiful design, backside fingerprint reader, and still a cheapish price before Google started with their pixel nonsense (actually made me go iPhone for a few generations because I was so pissed at what they ditched the nexus line for). But yeah, just a great culmination of android being in a good place, hardware, and nostalgia.
Samsung’s is pretty useless though… Just says “good.” Now idk if there’s more details that populate when it’s bad but just having a single word doesn’t really fill me with confidence. Would be nice to see some more stats.
Always love an adversarial tone when I ask for help. Android 13 on fold 5, every app, answered the other questions already.
I fucking loved this game. I “acquired” it one night just to see how it was and ended up getting completely wrapped up in it and played through to the morning. Immediately bought the whole game next day. Not sure how updates and stuff are but the core gameplay is so much fun.
Well to balance that out indie games are normally a lot cheaper. Underrail is only $9 off on GoG but that’s a 60% discount. It’s rare to get a kinda modern AAA game that cheap.
Here’s an article by The Verge for a quick run down on what’s different. Sounds like basically everything got a slight face lift, however not enough to warrant the Steam Deck 2 moniker. Better battery, slightly better chip, better cooling, Wifi 6E, and more… Sounds like a no-brainer to buy this one over last “gen.” Not quite enough for a straight up upgrade for me though.
The issue with the fold is that it opens into a tablet from factor that Android has notoriously been awful at supporting. Even after the release of their new tablet and now the fold their support is severely lacking. Ive owned both the pixel and Galaxy fold and experience wise the Galaxy fold is vastly superior. Just the fact that whenever you open the phone it’s defaults to a portrait mode means 99% of apps “just work” and the ones that support a tablet ui get 10x better. As cool as the passport form factor is and how bad (to some, not me) the Galaxy’s super thin design is, the pixel fold just cannot compete due to Google’s failings in gathering support for tablets. I ditched my pixel fold for my old Galaxy fold and couldn’t be happier.
I don’t think there’s not an audience however; old people who want a bigger screen, people addicted to their phone, kids for big screen gaming, all great examples of how foldables succeed. I honestly think most of the hate for them comes from the fact that they’re big and bulky, especially from a userbase like Lemmy, which from what I’ve seen are predisposed to small phones. I think if every carrier just gave out a Galaxy fold then everyone who didn’t care about a small form factor would fall in love. I sincerely believe that they are the future and am dying for apple to release one, since that’ll be the nail in the coffin for traditional slabs.
A solid standard issue cat. Mine says hello
The problem in the US is that the iPhone has a huge amount of the market and iMessage mostly does that already. For Android to counter that you have to use a 3rd party app, which further fractures an already smaller market. Or everyone could just use sms which is free with basically every plan nowadays, which gets you by.
Always interesting when I hear people’s families use something other than the default in the US. What started that? Were your parents always concerned about privacy? Did you somehow convince them to use that app? What about when they text someone who isn’t on signal, which is probably 90% of the US? I could get my family to download the app but I feel like it’s pointless because no one else uses it so they would just quit.
Just a reminder that A Link to the Past Randomizer exists and is also quite fun
