In my professional experience, AI seems to be just a faster way to generate an algorithm that is really hard to debug. Though I am dev-ops/sre so I am not as deep in it as the devs.

See now, I would prefer AI in my toaster. It should be able to learn to adjust the cook time to what I want no matter what type of bread I put in it. Though is that realky AI? It could be. Same with my fridge. Learn what gets used and what doesn’t. Then give my wife the numbers on that damn clear box of salad she buys at costco everytime, which take up a ton of space and always goes bad before she eats even 5% of it. These would be practical benefits to the crap that is day to day life. And far more impactful then search results I can’t trust.
Ahhh the manuals… and the mail order hint guides. Those were the days.
Not yet, but I am old enough… lol
If it’s on a cd, it ain’t old yet.
It does rhyme well.
Yeah, I know all about it. I live near portland, we are generally very inclusive. My kid was explaining just some of the many categories to me the other day. It’s a lot for an old brain to adjust to. And I am terrible at remembering peoples names. I may never be able to keep the categories connected to the people. Lol.
Referring to someone as queer. When I grew up that was a major insult. You just didn’t use that word, like the n word. You used others like homosexual and such. But now it is mainstream and ok to use in the right way. But it still feels offensive in my head.
I personally like the idea of a real third party. But I think focusing on eat the rich won’t have enough draw, and will push potential supporters away. I think the focus should be more on government FOR the people. It’s similar, but wider in scope. Trump is doing america first… how about people first as the focal point.
I live in oregon, and I am looking to support progressive organizations more. Do you have any resources I can use to identify which organizations here are the real deal versus ones just pretending, or ones that are totally irrelevant?
The progressive part is a thing I think.
I’d say it will be nearly impossible to get an objective jury that also represents the defendants peers.
I remember at jury duty how they spend a lot of time telling us that we have to decide if the dependant broke the law specifically. Implying that we aren’t suppose to decide if they deserve punishment. But I am pretty sure that isn’t in the constitution. I think a jury should consider if the law is just. I believe you can get a mistrial if a jury member admits to such a thing.
I wasn’t already, but I am now.
Rubbish. The security people wouldn’t have clearance to know much about what they are guarding, let alone the rest of the countries capabilities. He would know they were put on alert. That’s about it. His statement about maintaining it every minute reeks of trying to make his information more valuable so he is better taken care of by whoever he escaped to. Noone would build a weapon that requires that much maintenance. And if they were doing that much maintenance they might be spit polishing the exterior for all he would know. I call BS
Ah. Similar effect in reducing the net difference
If that lasr column is population, latino men are 1/7 compared to white men. So the larger difference is much smaller than it appears. And how did there get to be so many more latino women than men.
Far simpler than whateveryone else is saying. The best way to rally humans to your side is to give them a common enemy. So conservative politicians picked enemies that are small in number and told everyone how they are to blame for all that is wrong in the world.
“But they did choose to make this statement” they answered a question honestly. They didn’t choose the question. And I agree we don’t know what the vets are actually saying. We know only what the media reports. Which is my point. People are putting words into the vets mouths that maybe one vet might say, but others clearly disagree with. The article doesn’t represent the vets (collective) point of view. So anyone saying the vets are wrong is mistaken because they don’t even know what the vets really think. And similar for saying the vets are right.
Lol, enshitification should at least take a few months… I hope.
