I do recommend the stormlight short stories, they are both quite good.
What info are you specifically looking for?
There are shards that represent certain concepts, ruin, preservation, honour, cultivation etc. people hold these shards, but are, influenced by it’s intent the longer they hold it.
Generally, each shard has picked a planet/solar system to settle and create/enhance their population.
Each systems magic tends to end up mirroring in some way the intent of the shard that created it. Honours require oaths, Ruin’s requires stealing power off others etc.
Some magic systems work for their users off planet (you have seen this!), others are more difficult.

There should be options for hard difficulty that are due to the AI being better, not just getting massive buffs.
Some of the examples given were about the AI not even knowing about certain game mechanics!

More than 1 million cubic kilometres of lava. Enough gasses to cause a mass extinction event.
Ugh, life took ages to get started. Lazy bacteria!
It’s still a hell of a long time if you consider that the entirety of recorded (ish) history is only a few thousand years long.
Updated comment to remove an order of magnitude.
It’s not X turning into Y when it comes to evolution. There were all kinds of different dinosaurs, that evolved I to all kinds of different niches. Most of those then went extinct due to rocks falling from the sky, or the entirety of India turning into a huge volcano etc.
So it’s not that a T-Rex turned into a chicken, it’s that T-Rexs lived alongside other dinosaurs that developed feathers and filled more niches etc. those that survived eventually became birds. (Have you ever seen an Emu up close?!? No wonder the Australians lost to them 🤣)
Disclaimer: I have no specific knowledge. Also, remember this happened over (billions? hundreds of millions) of years.
Other comments about just not noticing feathers are valid too.
Wow, this is a long read. Well worth it for anyone who got caught in Rome TW2’s hype and subsequent disappointment.
Would be good to see what other games he later worked on. Will try to remember to look him up on linkedin when I have time
That’s the routers business model though
A) discord
B) make friends with one person that does this or plays with other groups, then join them when they are playing with others
They are doing it as one book instead of splitting?
The art on the side is cool if they are actually doing that!
Edit: you posted this just before the instance crashed unfortunately 😕
I think literature.cafe has the only activeish book communities really.
Most people sub to all the related communities, so if you post here (and the series specific ones) there are normally responses.
There is no one pushing these communities currently until Fax (one of the sffa admins) gets some more time to spend here.
‘cool’ is relative - the have to water the roads they build over the top to stop them melting!
Yes I believe it is
oh, I missed this! good news! probably looking forwards to era 3 Mistborn more than the next Stormlight book though, they really are getting too heavy.
What is their monetisation plan? Currently they don’t seem to have anything other than donations?
oooh, ty
they just send a OTP to your email with the idea that you should be keeping your email secure (and that email providers are more secure than they can be)
The whole site seems like a PoC - the accounts don’t even have passwords! (I could actually kinda get on board with this)
I believe so
