Scaphism, but specifically for corrupt politicians.
The thing with a lot of the methods mentioned is that I’ve seen both teens that are more mature than me, and people in their thirties that should probably have their internet privileges revoked.
EVE always fascinated me, but at the same time how beginner unfriendly I’ve heard it is + feeling like I’ll probably not last long before I get killed off makes me wary of trying it.
If Outer Wilds counts as AA, then I’ll nominate that next (even if I still need to finish it)
I think it’s just everywhere now. I see it on Tumblr too.
Unfortunately, even our most advanced ones are more limited than a lot of people think and have a high rejection rate of around 44% that’s never talked about. Some do genuinely like them, but many say they still prefer the relatively simple body powered prosthetics, or none at all.
This could change as advancements are made, but as of now they’re a bit of a scam.
People say they want memes like we used to have back, only to flip out when a late 2000s/early 2010s style gmod thing blows up.
Howl’s Moving Castle. Not that I didn’t enjoy the book, I just preferred the movie more.
Granted the author was quite young when he started the series (15) to when the first book got published (18, first self published then republished by an established publisher a couple years later). He’s came out with a new series recently, but I don’t know how much better it is.
And while I’m not saying the books are anything great, they’re still a far cry from the movie imo.
I can still dream
Hopefully this will push the billionaires to finally do something about it.
I’ve heard it actually doesnt taste bad. I’d be unsettled by where it came from though.
I would never play it myself so I’m not sure how much this counts, but there’s something about Garten of Banban that keeps drawing me back to it whenever a new episode drops. I’m well aware it’s just some shitty bottom of the barrel reaction streamer/theory crafting bait and it’s mostly me wanting to see where the train wreck goes, but I think I’m enjoying it on an ironic level too.
I mean, it wasn’t like I was expecting the guy who refused to take down a popular softcore CP sub until it got mainstream media attention to be morally upstanding.
Ironically I wouldn’t have heard of it if it werent for this, so Streisand effect in action.
As someone who’s into a lot of VR stuff, the biggest problem is that it’s still a niche market that requires the consumer to be spending a lot on extra hardware in order to play it. Obviously the majority of studios would rather invest in something more people can play and therefore buy, and at most will maybe add a VR mode to their first person game. I’ve found VR modes and mods for games not initially developed for that sort of hardware to be more engaging and have more substance than most of the ones specifically made for it (and is most of the VR games I play), but being able to play in VR does enhance the experience imo depending on the game.
What do you mean? It’s a restaurant, they serve pizza and have a salad bar. I’ve been there a bunch of times as a kid. It’s a restaurant man, what are you talking about?
My first thought was Cruelty Squad tbh.
…like lumber doesnt take far more effort per harvest, as well as take longer to grow?
No Man’s Sky - One of the most beautiful games out there imo, and has vastly improved since its disasterous launch. Warning this one does require an internet connection (actually for a good reason) but you dont have to interact with anyone, and it’s difficult to even encounter another player in the wild outside of the Anomaly hub and campaigns due to its sheer size.
Project Zomboid - Even if you have zero interest in zombie stuff it’s still worth a shot. Has a massive detailed world based off Midwestern towns in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. It’s still in development so there’s some noticeably unfinished aspects, and they’ve only just begun to add non-zombie NPCs.
