Photos of this guy are with a bookbag with black straps. The guy with the bookbag with white straps in the shooting video has a completely different jacket and thin eyebrows vs this guys big bushy ones.

Sociopaths exist and they rule the world.
Rookwood@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why people consistently vote against their own interests to benefit the rich?162·6 months agoObama took office during the Great Recession and rebuilt the economy. Biden took office during COVID and rebuilt the economy. (I know you’re going to try to argue with me on that, so I will just say that we recovered faster than any other developed nation before you do.) You’re kinda dense if you think that as soon as a president from another party enters office it would affect the economy so much as these events did…
Rookwood@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why people consistently vote against their own interests to benefit the rich?10·6 months agoPropaganda. Lack of education. There’s a reason they want to defund public schools. They’re not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. :)
Rookwood@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How good is Lemmy dealing with censorship and why does the sign-up process on lemmy.ml involve having to copy a sentence from "The Principles of Communism"?31·6 months agoThink of Lemmy instances like a Discord server. You are joining a community. You are not joining up to a centralized corporate website. There are many lemmy instances. Shop around. lemmy.ml are Marxist-Leninist. It’s what the .ml stands for. If that’s not for you, find another instance.
Dreamcast’s strength was the hardware. Adding a DVD player would have just increased the price out of realistic range. The problem was the software and 3rd party support. The library just could not compete with PS1 and N64 and then the greatest console of all time came out and put it out of its misery, the PS2.

If you go through life not ever taking any bs, you definitely will not be able to hold a job. Or function in general really.
Oh yeah. I forget sometimes that that was the most expensive shitpost of all time.
Rookwood@lemmy.worldto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Poor Sega just didn't get the timing right.English7·11 months agoNah, they failed because of the Saturn which is one of the worst console flops in history. Dreamcast was just a last ditch effort to regain relevancy and beat the other guys to the punch. Too late once the PS1 was successful.
Also, Genesis was more appealing to adults. That’s why it competed with the SNES so well. American adults at the time (prime aged boomers) were much more won over by Genesis’s more mature marketing and appeal to American values versus Nintendo which was decidedly marketed to children.
Rookwood@lemmy.worldto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Poor Sega just didn't get the timing right.English34·11 months agoIf they had released later it would have been worse. Sega’s downfall was the Saturn which was just garbage compared to the N64 and PS1. Dreamcast was their last ditch effort to release a truly next-gen system before the big boys rocked up with all their cash.

World's largest aerospace firm faces 10 more whistleblowers after sudden death of twoEnglish493·1 year agoYes but our current society vests power in the corporation doing the killing. It’s a problem as old as civilization, but one we still haven’t solved. The problem is that these institutions and the technology they wield has never been greater.
Companies don’t do profit-sharing because they have no pressure or incentive to do so. In other words, they can get away with not profit-sharing so they do.
Co-ops are community projects. They arise out a strong, educated and engaged community. This does not exist in the US at large. That’s why about the only place with co-ops in the whole country is NYC.
