Really though, the level of imperialism apologizing I’ve seen has been pretty humorous on this platform. Like people will say with a straight face that we need to support our client state Israel to secure our regional interests.

But since the data is “cobbled together” from other sources, then it’s by definition secondary research (and should list those sources).

Worth noting this is a “difference-in-differences” study, so that change is estimating the impact of the policy alone. Folk’s observed changes will be a bit higher because they are also affected by national changes.
