If someone asked me to calculate it in the street I would be blue screening but here it was a multiple choice with the options set in a way that you don’t really have to calculate compound interest at all, you just had to know it exists (over 110€).

If the idle game is running at 100% there is no power left to also crypto mine. If the idle game runs at 10% you could use 90% for mining but then you would pay for 100% energy usage instead of 10%. You’d probably end up paying more than you’d mine.
That’s just DNS and exactly how you do it on android too, the op made it sound like he has something better that’s exclusive.
But that is so much worse then the free system wide AdBlock you can use on android without root, why do you think it is better?
Can you elaborate on how to use AdBlock on iPhone? Everytime I try to look it up I can only find ad block for the web browser. Last time I was told that’s all you can do, is this outdated?
Edit: you’re not just talking about using DNS right? Since that’s just the same as android.
It’s pre-installed on phones (accessibility> sound notifications).
The purpose is to get notified on things like smoke alarms going off etc when you are hearing impaired.
Edit: here’s the full list of what comes preconfigured:
Also I think you have a bit of a warped view on what an os update entails for Android devices, maybe because your only comparison is the iPad.
iPads need updates because it’s the only way they can receive bug fixes and new features. On android even system apps can be updated via the play store, and new features can be added to your device via play services without even restarting, you’ll just get a random info one day that says “your device can now do this or that”. (Unless you go without play service ofc).
OS updates for the last few years have just been pretty forgettable stuff (like I can’t even remember one single feature they added with Android 14, I think it was just new clock fonts?)
I don’t think any manufacturer offers more than 5 years os updates. Normally you will still get security updates afterwards but I don’t know if there is any way to see how long exactly beforehand.
If you install lineage or some other rom it would not matter anyways what the official support is. But someone needs to take the time to port it to your device, so the more popular of a device you choose the more likely it is to get ports longer.
Generally I’d recommend looking at what hardware of a popular device fits your needs (size, budget, pen etc) and then just looking at xda to see what roms are available and how easy the flashing process is.
I don’t understand what you mean by saying you don’t want the software bricked in 5 years. You mean bricking while flashing a rom? Usually that’s easy to recover. I don’t think I’ve heard of many people bricking a device unrecoverably lately.
Disappointing. I loved the 3ds games and was hoping to get something similar but a bit modernized.
Do iPhones even have a way to add multiple users yet? Last time I checked there was no option, but I haven’t bothered for a while, so did they finally add that?
Is it ethical to “adopt” a cat? My cat lives a good life, she is old and healthy and well feed, never having to worry about anything. But it is ethical to own another living being, even if you offer it the best possible life it can have in return? I really don’t know.
But if you do adopt a cat, I think you need to do everything that ensures the cat has a healthy life, like getting shots and check ups etc.
Neutering the cat is also an important part of keeping it healthy. After all, it greatly reduces the risk of either gender getting cancer in their reproductive organs and a lot of other issues.
I’m from Germany. In theory a VPN with a Killswitch is enough. In reality, I am so paranoid about Waldorf frommer that I only pirate using one click hosters.
The dlc has to be bought separately
For example some keys are bought from publishers or devs with stolen credit cards to sell on those sites and then the owner of the credit cards will request a charge back one he notices the charges.
Now the dev or publisher has no money for the key, has a fee for the payment and or the charge back and the key is still getting sold on those sites.
Humble bundle once lost about 35k that way for example.
The key resellers should have security implemented to prevent such stolen keys from being sold but they don’t, enabling those scammers.
Getting a girlfriend, the buyer is the g-cup owner.
I remember why I hated my iPhone 3g so much. Mandatory iTunes, no multitasking, horrendous notification management, terrible skeumorph design everywhere, safari as mandatory browser which most websites were not compatible with… I could go on for a while.
I hated my iPhone so much I sold it and thought I’d never buy another smartphone again because I assumed all of them were that shitty.
Bought a gingerbread android a while later and it was just so much better in every regard.
There is no norm of course, but a personal phone is kinda necessary once they use the school bus etc alone. We’ve had a lot of problems with buses being hours delayed or completely canceled in winter and payphones just don’t exist anymore so a way to contact a guardian is absolutely necessary.
Ipad is the next issue, schools have started requiring iPads for school use for elementary school children so there is also no way around this once they enter school as well. At least those are kinda locked down from school so they can’t install just anything.
On the one hand, elementary school children having these devices makes me uncomfortable.
On the other hand, not using devices will put them at a hefty disadvantage on a technical aspect as well. I am fairly sure if I didn’t have my own personal computer with Internet access when I was a child, I wouldn’t be a software engineer today and I might never have acquired the problem solving skills I have. I also wouldn’t have been able to teach myself languages and other things.
But technology has also been dumbed down in recent years so tinkering and learning how things work to fix them is not as necessary either.
I guess there is just no generalized best way to go about it, the line between too much and too little is just way too hard to navigate, and it also depends on the child in large parts.
I’d love this too. Had some bad experience with in app purchase “unlocks”.

Doubt it’s without the owner, might be a two story building with one floor being an airbnb and the other the owners flat or some similar setup.
