2 months agoexperienced this with BG3 on gog while my friends had the steam version, when it launched. Patches on gog were delayed by sometime a week, preventing us to play together.

Don’t even need home server, regular PC with a disk will do. Just fireup syncthing on both devices and voila. Can set syncthing to start on pc
