Oh yeah how could I forget that after conspiring to help the Nazis exterminate the poles, the Russians turned around and conscripted millions of men from the countries they conquered (Poland, Ukraine, etc) and used them to fight off the Nazis that they allowed to invade in the first place! For the record, I think Bibi and most of his government belong in prison. Bibi is a fascist - but so are most Palestinians, for lack of a better word. I think Israel (as well as America, Europe and the Arab states) should pay reparations to all Palestinians who can demonstrate that they personally have been permanently displaced from land that Israelis have settled on, because it IS a humanitarian crisis - partly of their own creation.
But I’m also realistic about arab/islamic nationalism, and how those states treat their ethnic and religious minorities. I support Kurdish independence for the same reason. I support the Christians in Lebanon - I went to school with some in the early 2000’s who were forced from their homes by the same “freedom fighters” who make common cause with Hamas today. Being a non-arab, non-muslim in the Muslim/Arab world is a mortal danger.
There is no scenario where Israel doesn’t exist, and Jewish people in the middle east aren’t subjected to exactly the kind of genocide that you’re accusing Israelis of perpetrating and has been perpetrating against Jews and Christians in living memory, to say nothing of the last thousand years. Some might even call these accusations projection.
If that makes me literally Hitler, then we really don’t have anything to discuss. My side keeps winning. Total Israeli capitulation isn’t ever going to happen. Israel is here to stay. When certain parties finally accept that reality, maybe we can start making moves towards a lasting peace, but that peace will never include simply throwing open the gates and letting the barbarians sack Israel as they did in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, Yemen, Sudan and elsewhere.

I’d say I’m probably more optimistic than most, but I don’t know if I’d apply that to the whole population. It’s a disorder that affects your ability to perform in the ways society expects you to, and for a lot of people, that sense of failed duty is a weight that they bear every day.
For me tho, I’ve never really given a fuck what society expects out of me. I live for myself first. If my boss or teachers or parents are pissed because I’m not measuring up to some metric, that’s their problem. I’m in a career now where I don’t need to worry about finding a new job. They’re plentiful. So I just focus on what makes me happy and put in just enough effort to keep my head above water and save a bit for down the line. Work and education have always just been a means to that end. I’d say I’m definitely an outlier in that regard.
I’ve got bad knees, so running (and a lot of other sports) is out, but I live to bike. I commute every day of the year, rain sleet or snow. It’s my favorite part of the day.
The most important part of staying active for me, was finding something that I actually enjoy. If I can trick my ADHD into thinking it’s playtime, and not some drudgery that needs to be completed, it becomes a game, and suddenly I can focus for 10 hours straight.
I’m not anorexic. Im a healthy 225. I love eating. I just sometimes forget that it’s something I need to do everyday. 😅
I like my smartwatch. I’m extremely ADHD as well as hypoglycemic. I have a lifelong history of not eating, then working/playing/exercising until i get woozy or pass out. I’m a terrible judge of what I actually need to stay functional. Always have been. I’m stubborn and will just try to power through things when I actually can’t.
The watch helps me track my sleep/rem cycles and lets me know when I’ve been neglecting my health. It lets me know when I’m getting stressed and need to take it easy, and it estimates how many calories I’ve expended on a given day.
The watch and pager functions are nice for reducing screen time when I should be working, but as a health monitor I find it indispensable in keeping me honest with myself.
If you replaced all muscle and fat in a 6’3 body with marshmallow fluff, you might end up looking a bit like trump at “225”.
I’m 6’3 225 and I can assure you, I wasnt nearly that fat even when I was pushing 250. If he’s actually 6’3 (he isn’t) then brody is pushing 270-300 EASY. You can hide a lot of weight on a 6’3 frame, but not that much.
