  • There are a lot of moving parts here.

My parents and grandparents are fully aware of my lack of belief. So my parents won’t be shocked that my children don’t believe. I don’t mind letting e.g. my mother tell them about Jesus because realistically, humans believe what their environment believes and for my children, I am mostly their environment. So I don’t think some exposure to christian beliefs will have a bad influence and my counter-influence would be present, so my children can choose.

My so’s parents and grandparents don’t know about our lack of belief. Her mom is aware of my lack of belief in a religion. Now that makes the whole children thing more complicated but… We are a couple thousand kilometers away… So… I hope they accept that we don’t want to provide our children with any religious education until they are ready to understand it. So at an age at which children are able to lie in the worst case.

  • Oh and that is fine but then you have to ask yourself if you want to have a partnership with bad sex. If not, break up, or “teach” by communicating what you want, what is good and what is bad. There is no alternative, accept bad sex, break up, teach.

(Technically, you could let them have sex outside of the partnership to study, but… Well, not my cup of tea)

  • I understand your perspective but I want to ask a question, not to you, but for you to think about it. What motivation causes the imports?

If corn syrup is a replacement for whatever they are doing, why are they importing raw sugar? If raw sugar is cheaper than you would expect them to already use sugar for everything and not corn syrup, and switching to corn syrup would be an increase in cost . If raw sugar costs the same, import is additional paperwork, why import? Raw sugar is more expensive, why would they pay more?

Raw sugar can’t be replaced easily in their use case? Now that makes sense.

  • There is a difference.

A lot of people who claim to be liberal, just aren’t left wing. The good example is the FDP party in Germany.

To quote Wikipedia: The FDP’s political position has variously been described as centrist, centre-right, and right-wing. The FDP has been described as liberal, conservative-liberal, classical-liberal, and liberal-conservative. Other sources have described the party as libertarian or right-libertarian.

There are left wing liberals, but don’t act like they usually call themselves liberal.
