Agreed. It **should **be a meritocracy. However, for anyone who has worked a job for more than a few years, it’s obvious that it often doesn’t work that way.

We do have lots of places like Sheetz that serve a similar function, but to be entirely automated is rare.
Automats might be a closer analog.
Vending machines work better when there’s more foot traffic and more density.
Vending machines with specialty goods (as pictured) need to be restocked every day and they require even more foot traffic. I think this is the biggest factor why OP’s vending machine is not viable in a lot of places in the US.
This is just improving LLMs, but with more steps.
Wait till this guy learns how a theremin work.
The writer has a clear bias and a lack of a technical background (writing for Techies.com doesn’t count) .
You don’t have to look hard to find devs saving time and learning something with AI coding assistants. There are plenty of them in this thread. This is just an opinion piece by someone who read a single study.
Somebody has been hitting the moon sugar a little too hard.
Lol you cared enough to respond. Sorry you’re too stupid to hold a conversation.
Never said the study was bullshit. I just said to look at the bigger picture.
I would show you how Google works and provide an article, but your reading comprehension leads me to believe you’d come up with another straw man fallacy to support your confirmation bias.
“The only way to interpret statistics is with a healthy dose of skepticism and a thorough understanding of their context.”
While people in this thread jump at the opportunity for this slice of statistics to affirm their confirmation biases, intelligent people will ask what the total carbon dioxide output looks like by comparison.
Fluff PR piece to get more people talking about Musk’s shitty platform.
Hiding misandry behind a bear/man comparison - cool use of statistics!
Hiding misogyny behind stats showing older women using fake news - WOW THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Wait till the author of this article finds out about oil companies.
More money for the executives and less for everyone else. People need to start standing up to this shit.
Tom Scott has a great video you should watch called, “2030: Privacy’s Dead. What happens next?”
Many corporations simply see customer support as a department that generates 0 revenue and costs them money.
They try to bring those costs down by off-shoring support, using AI, simply not having support, etc. These companies trade the good will of customers, the livelihoods of their employees, and the larger economy all for their short term greed. Line must go up this quarter.
The richest Americans lobbied the government aggressively to pay less taxes. They’re all skipping out on their fair share and foisting the burden on everyone with less than 100 million in the bank.
Tesla has very misleading marketing surrounding the “autonomy” of their vehicles. Mercedes Benz is the first (and only) company in the US to have a level 3: fully self-driving.
AI has it’s usecases, but it’s not currently at a place where students can be left alone with an AI. This is dumb.
