I’m playing through part 2 right now, as I just finished part 1 a few days ago. I have to say so far part 2 is really good but it’s just lacking something that part 1 had. I think my biggest issue is Corvo having a voice. I didn’t think it would bother me but considering he is totally silent in the first game, him talking to himself in part 2 is just jarring. I probably should have played as Emily instead.

Here’s how it worksEnglish2·3 months agoThis machine pulls in 36,000 tons of carbon per year, our average carbon output is about 36 billion tons per year, so you’d need to build a million of these to offset our current output.
Reversing the last century of emissions is interesting because we would likely have to carefully monitor and adjust how much we pull in as we go along because any dramatic changes could have serious climate consequences.
I have the same thing except it’s my dad. I’ve been able to become lucid on occasion when it happens and it’s like I get to hang out with my dad again. I have yet to tell him he is dead in the real world when it does occur. I’m afraid of what will happen if I do.

For me it depends on the day. Sometimes I can get by with a few hits and other days I feel like I can’t function without a constant blaze across my face.
allidoislietomyself@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What do people who promoted the "FEMA camps" conspiracy theory think about Trump's mass deportation?5·5 months agoI keep telling all my liberal friends this. It’s a waste of time and energy to call out the Right’s hypocrisy and hang on to it like it’s some sort of trump card (no pun intended). The right does not care that they are hypocritical, in fact they actually revel in it, they find it hilarious that the left gets so worked up over it.
Let her get a boyfriend and maybe it’ll all work out?

It certainly is! That’s really interesting. I didn’t even consider how transitioning changes the way one would use the toilet. I can totally see needing to practice in the shower with the device.
To be fair to your wife, we have been practicing with it since we were toddlers.

I agree something needs to be done, but it’ll have to be done with elections and legislation that protects that progress from being dismantled by the next party that might not agree with that change.
Sustainable change is a slow process. Sometimes that process is so slow you might not see the results in your lifetime.
allidoislietomyself@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Scientists warn of 'societal collapse' on Earth with worsening climate situationEnglish3·6 months agoBecause most of us are relatively comfy and we’re so focused on surviving the day, week, or month (if you’re really lucky), that we don’t have time to even consider the effort needed to organize and focus on overthrowing those in power. The system working as designed.

While a 104 fever likely indicates a severe illness or infection the body can safely have a fever in the 104 to 106 range. It’s around 108 that brain damage becomes a concern and that is usually also due to environmental factors like a kid being left in a hot car.
