What happens if you go to therapy and their recommendation is I relax? Does relaxation related activities then become what they are supposed to do?
There’s definitely a loop hole in here somewhere.
buying a brand new android every year
We’ve had wildly different experiences with these companies, for what it’s worth.
I bought an iPhone X back when they were new, and had to get it replaced twice within the first 6 months because of hardware failures.
Conversely, I kept my Pixel 3 (from 2019) until last year.

It’s a better, more usable platform than mastodon for the average user today, it makes sense people will move to it instead - it’s human behavior.
I wish more than people treated these platforms as disposable like they are. Just dump their ass like a shitty ex if they start abusing the platform. Remind folks that Yahoo, Myspace and Digg seemed unreplaceable at one point, and now they are irrelevant.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Amazon AWS CEO: Quit if you don't want to return to office
3·1 year agoOncall is usually a 24/7 type of thing, where speed is a major factor, and I doubt they would want to restrict oncall engineers to on-site only.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Amazon AWS CEO: Quit if you don't want to return to office
14·1 year agoThey want people in the office, but they still want people to be able to work when they’re at home too. No shot RTO comes with blocking remote access to corp systems, or even prod for that matter.
How would oncalls be handled without it even?

Swag was my nginx introduction, and it was mildly confusing because I ran it on docker and didn’t understand how to edit configs at the time. I’d recommend following a guide instead of winging it like I did 😅

Games@sh.itjust.works•RuneScape creator unveils new MMO after 10 years of development: 'At times it has felt like an insurmountably ambitious task'English
1·2 years agoI enjoy having some good grinds in an MMO, but have never enjoyed dailies. The allure of a good grind should be a reward with an understandable value proposition for the time investment.
- Grinding herbs can be sold for gold, or turned into items that help with combat. High chance to find, low value. Very grindable task you can perform solo.
- Loot with low drop chances and a not as significant impact on gameplay can be attractive for a long grind with a payout that is permanent, but less noticable or maybe even situationally useful.
- reputation grinds that unlock things in bulk can be nice, especially if it’s don’t well and feels like you’re earning the trust of the faction.
Part of the joy for me is the self-direction of where to spend the “grind” time, and that’s totally lost with dailies that feel like a chore you can’t fall behind on. I want to discover better methods to optimize my character and the things that my character needs, I don’t want a chore list.

I know it’s unpopular, but I have YT premium and use YT music since it’s included. It’s expensive for a streaming service, but it’s also the only streaming subscription I have.
