Invidious is a Youtube front end (nothing bad about that per se, it just connects to the same google servers) and Nebula as well as Floatplane are paid afaik.

I fear that less people will use custom roms and therefore overall development will suffer. But maybe some people will opt for fairphone instead of google, which at least makes it a tiny bit better imo…

My guess is that there’s some legal action going on behind the scenes and Google is trying to kill off all those apps. Either way, they all will most likely become useless once Youtube is done rolling out their DRM. Was a short but nice time with them.
