They will when forced too. Like europe and the tax on their petrol/diesel.
I’ve love a big stinking 5L v8 but fuel is so expensive.

That’s the one I’ve been using, not the most active but seems decent.
Back to the OP. I carry a Rovyvon A8x flashlight and yubikey on my keychain.
VPN because I don’t know enough about all the random arrr services to expose them trustworthily.
Rerevanced will be popular
It seems to me anecdotally.
It’s compressed still but is original resolution rather than half Res AND compressed.
I’ve been able to do this for about 3-4 weeks now.
Yeah insane. Land of the freee
I’m more
Hello print("World")
Russian bone fields this time rather than German
Na, you’re being silly now.
Love ISPreview.
Also I bet the Americans would love if their advertising agency did this. I swear every other week they have 5GEE, 5G+.
There are algorithms working in the background on Reddit to keep you there. Same with pretty much all “social media”. They aren’t on Lemmy. The point of Reddit is to keep you there, and shove as many ads down your throat as possible. Ads don’t exist here, and no one (as far as i can tell) is making money from you being here.
I agree with what you’re saying about the algorithms sucking you in, but disagree that’s the biggest reason. Lemmy just doesn’t have a lot of content, browse HOT or go through your subscriptions and you’re done pretty quick.
Massively. If you can contribute, ask and learn on a discussion then you get WAY more out of it.
Lemmy is perfect for that atm, reddit you’d get immediately drowned out or some dickhead just dismissing your point and that’s it, done.
I work at a bigger company and i’m so fucking happy they’ve embraced it recently and reduced office space by around 60%. There literally isn’t enough desks/space for everyone to work on site down and actively expect people to work from home.
They’ve seen the reduction in real estate and energy bills (this is a big one)
Agree’d, people aren’t contributing enough so it seems dead after a 30min check per day (might not be a bad thing).
If lemmy is to thrive and survive, post, comment and start discussions. That’s what is addictive and provides value.
Big personalities with no large company experience grew too quick.
I would say 80% of the games I pirate, I put less than 30 mins into it.
IMO all movies and series should be available on any platform and let the streaming service decide if they want to have it in their portfolio. Only the “originals” should be locked to a platform to keep stuff unique.
That’s just cable though. Not sure that’ll be any better. The second a company sees a revenue stream or thinks they’re missing out. They monetise it to the detriment of the customers.
Yeah, the whole piracy crackdown situation is so stupid.
I pirate a lot of media, if you added it all up it would be a lot of money (if I was to buy everything). The difference is, before I pirated I barely bought any of the media.
If you were to objectively look at the value of the pirated media, it would seem that i’ve “stolen” or studios have missed out on lots of revenue, but the truth is I pirate a lot of media, just because I can.
Im running Windows 11 on my new laptop. Every major update it’s like:
My laptop officially supports Ubuntu, think I might make the switch full time. I don’t game on my laptop and most of it’s use is browser, plex and emails…
