I was having this issue, the solution was to go into my profile settings on the instance it’s made on, and select literally every single language. So far, it’s fixed it.

I’ve done a lot of de-enshitification in my digital life over the past year, most recently by de-google my phone. I’m going to be honest: It’s not easy, nor convenient, and a lot of the time not cheap. You really have to go out of your way to get what you want, sacrificing at least something a long the way (features, usability, etc). It takes quite a bit of desire and determination to move away from the modern garbage that these companies shove your way, and I’m honestly not sure if it’s worth it for the average person because of the massive amount of effort that it takes.
All of the above is to say that if you really want to avoid enshitification you’re gonna have to make changes, such as buying a different set of peripherals for your pc, and that it’s not gonna be easy. The real question is: is all of that work worth it for you?
For me it 100% has been.
Back when it was useful for reddit I remember thinking one time “Huh, it’s been a while since this app updated, wonder whats up?” Only to visit the subreddit and find out that he’s scrapped the last updated and has been awol for months lmao. Somethings never change.
Still a great app, use it every day.
Why… not just stream on discord? You’re already using it. This honestly seems like a lot of extra work for very little pay off.
That’s cool and all, but who exactly is gonna watch it? Like it’s a fine idea, but there’s literately no point.
I love freelancer, it’s my favorite old space sim. I’m honestly super surprised that both discovery and crossfire are still being developed/played seeing as it’s almost been 20 years!
Perhaps one day star citizen (specifically squadron 42) will pick up this mantle like Chris promised originally. Until then I’ll keep coming back to this game every few years to mess around.
This site feels like reddit from ~2010. IE back before all the monetization and add bullshit.
I loved visiting it, went right at the start of covid so it was the perfect sweet spot of being both open AND very few other people. Have lots of pictures and good memories of my time there.
