I had problems with Linix Mint so I switched, very good so far. No problems at all besides switching init systems from runit to openrc because I did not like runit commands 😂
😂 thx, I will take this as a compliment
I do not think so but you certainly should not think that you are exactly the person that the test says. Just take it as a description of what type of person you are in general so you can know what you need to improve in yourself and how people see you.
No background at all. Just a 15 year old INTP (Personality type) boy using Artix linux btw has home server under construction is pro FOSS and privacy, using a Jailbroken iPhone without an Apple ID because I can not yet afford a Google Pixel 7 pro, have no big tech in my life, has no online presence besides Lemmy and Matrix and manages all things related to technology for friends/family (Accounts, Debloating Win 10 PC’s because they dont want to use linux, Managing all things Internet).
I think that I will stick with ubuntu server for now, I run Artix on my main pc and dont feel like trying out NixOS yet… I heard bad bad things about Namecheap. Dynamicly allocated IPV4 but I never saw it change and I am plannig to monitor its changes to redirect my domain name to the right ip if it ever changes. I am already familiar with ssh thx. Thx for the help!
I was going to use docker containers for everything using Portainer
Thx again fellow canadian! I will try it out.
Thx! I heard about Nginx before, should I consider using Caddy instaed?
I used Mint Cinnamon as well. Full story is that I got a new PC and decided to try out Mint, I way daily driving it for about 2-3 months but than I needed to use some windows software and I did not yet know about the existence of wine so I installed windows 10. But then my windows 10 install blue screened after a few months and it wasn’t fixable. Luckily, i had a backup but windows refused to recognize it so I said fuck it and switched to back to Linux mint. I have been using it for about 6 months but some packages started breaking, I wanted to try out KDE (I was using Cinnamon) and I was lazy to do it all so I switched to Artix a few weeks ago. That’s basically it.
