The dev has a specific vision and that’s it. If you don’t like it you can use something else.
Just like the dev of Calibre/Kitty. He does things a certain way because that’s the way he likes it. It’s a stupid and shit way, but Calibre has no real competition so I use it 🙂

Technology@lemmy.world•Are you ready for a $1,000 Steam Machine? Some analysts think you should be.English
33·5 days agoFor me it’s either this or Framework Desktop, I’ve got the money, just waiting for the email from Valve telling the final price.
Steam Machine is better for gaming, which is nice
But Framework can do Mac levels of AI work, which is also nice, it’s also not completely useless for games.
They’re already doing the “but she’s 15, at least she was not 5” defence…
They know.

If you say that you can’t be sued if you get something wrong when reporting.
Like if you say “they fucked his ass with a knife” and it turns out to be a chisel -> they can sue you.

41·11 days agoI have a friend who made it big young (well earned IMO, they started working at 15) and they have about 2M in investments.
They make 4k/month after taxes just from the stock dividends every year.
That’s well enough for a comfortable life over here, as their house and cars are paid for - and the money keeps growing in investments.

2·11 days agoThis is their Gerasimov Doctrine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_generation_warfare?wprov=sfti1
And “the west” isn’t prepared for it, they’ve used it multiple times successfully.
The basic idea is that hybrid warfare cheaper than normal war. Russia has also made it 100% legal to use their military to “rescue” Russians from other countries. So in their eyes they’re doing the right thing.
Tactical and Strategic Truths.
