  • I assume the artists and riggers are contractors while the talent are most likely employees.

The issue with that is the talent’s PLs are a direct competitor to hololive. Some companies are tolerant of employees having consulting gigs on the side, I don’t know of any that would be ok with employees directly pulling customers to their side gig using company resources.

Hololive doesn’t credit their in house modellers or management either in this way.

The talent fully understand the quirks of having a job you can’t put directly on your resume, but they also get strong networking opportunities if the need to jump ship, it’s up to them to make that tradeoff.

They are also acting as mouth pieces for the company, if a company releases a statement, they don’t usually cite the PR professional who drafted the notice.

  • I don’t even hide it. I keep iterating back and forth between running TTRPG games and writing short stories. I do think I’ve started to hit something more satisfying with using a looser system (plug for https://lemmy.world/c/owboybeboprpg devoted to a fairly dead TTRPG that I probably only like because I haven’t done enough research into more popular TTRPG systems)

For me, it was this cycle where I would just get kind of exhausted at the writing process, outlining, writing, editing, and then feeling a bit dejected when its never quite as good as you remembered, then when I DMed tabletop games, it felt like I wanted more control to ideate high level visions for the narrative. They both scratch different itches in the creative process, and sometimes its nice to just switch up the itch.

  • Regardless of what one might think should happen or expect to happen, the actual psychological effect is harmful to the victim. It’s like if you walked up to someone and said “I’m imagining you naked” that’s still harassment and off-putting to the person, but the image apps have been shown to have much much more severe effects.

It’s like the demonstration where they get someone to feel like a rubber hand is theirs, then hit it with a hammer. It’s still a negative sensation even if it’s not a strictly logical one.

  • I find a coffee type meeting and a conversation is a good way to feel out of it’s a crush or actual connection. I definitely wouldn’t linger if there’s a mismatch in expectations but I’ve also regretted jumping straight to dating with someone I would have liked to hang out with platonically but now they feel weird about it or think I dumped them.

It’s definitely not how a less emotionally mature me would have operated so maybe your right and it’s not the best advice here.
